ASHLAND, Ky. — Clean Start is encouraging licensed hairdressers and barbers to volunteer their time once a month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to cut hair for needy people. Clean Start is also currently active in a donation drive for home cleaning supplies, including regular sized containers of all purpose cleaner, laundry detergent, bleach, dish soap and cleaning sponges.
Clean Start is a licensed beauty salon that offers haircuts, private bathrooms and personal hygiene items for those in need. The nonprofit also offers mail service for people who have no permanent address.
Clean Start operates Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
